POWER UP VBS

August 12 – 16, 2019

Join us as we POWER UP and Raise Our Game together! Our week will be filled with games, crafts, music, mission projects and snacks as we learn what it means to Power Up with God!

Registration is now closed. If you wish to be added to a wait-list, please contact Pastor Cathy. Please note that adding your name to the wait-list doesn’t not guarantee a spot will be available for your child. If a spot becomes open, we will contact you one week before the event. We hope to see you in August!

Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Come to Fellowship Hall on August 18th during Fellowship hour to purchase doughnuts to support Bethany UMC’s team for Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s! Please stop in to learn more about the walk, grab a sweet treat and raise awareness for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! If you have been affected by Alzheimer’s or any related Dementia we are asking your help in the fight of this disease.   There are many ways to help support The Walk to End Alzheimer’s:

  1. Spread the word about Alzheimer’s and the walk.
  2. Register and make a donation.
  3. Register as a team member, walk and raise money for research efforts.

Rebuilding Together Howard County

Rebuilding Together Howard County

Bethany UMC is partnering with Rebuilding Together Howard County (formerly known as Christmas in April) to provide free home repairs to a low-income family right here in Howard County! More details will be provided soon, but we will need a variety of volunteer support to make this happen! If you would like to be one of the leadership committee for this project please contact Sandy Ugol.

Tool team 7:00 am to 9:00 am

Building crew 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (lots of skill levels needed)

Building crew 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (lots of skill levels needed)

Clean up crew 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Breakfast committee – bring in light items from 7:00 am to 8:30 am

Lunch committee – provide bag lunches at noon

Water boys and girls – throughout the day

Family support team – will work in advance to provide other items needed for the comfort of the family

Rebuilding Together is committed to improving the lives of the elderly, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and families with children; all homeowners in Howard County who have worked hard, but can no longer afford to keep up with repairs.
